Configure Course Completion Settings
7.8.2026
You can define the requirements learners must meet to complete a course in Priima. Alternatively, you can allow learners to go through the course without any completion requirements. To access the Settings view where completion requirements are configured, you must have the Course Administrator role in the course.
Open course completion settings
- Open the Courses view from the left-hand menu.
- Open the course you want to edit by clicking the course card.
- Go to Settings > Course completion > Passing criteria.
Alternatively, click the pencil icon on the course card in the Courses view to open the Settings view directly.

You can also enable Certificates and Competencies in the Course Completion settings. See the related instructions for more information.
Note
- If you cannot see the Settings view, you do not have the Course Administrator role in the course.
- Mandatory assignments can only be enabled when they are included in the course completion requirements.
- We do not recommend changing assignments to mandatory after the course has been published and members have already been added. Before adding learners to the course, review the assignments in the Mandatory Assignments view.
