Configure Environment Security Settings

Go to Security Settings

1. Open Administration.
2. Go to Settings > Security settings.

Define Password Requirements

1. Set the minimum password length (8 to 24 characters).
2. Define the required password characters:
   • Password must contain a minimum of one lowercase letter
   • Password must contain a minimum of one uppercase letter
   • Password must contain at least one number
3. Password must contain a minimum of one special character
4. If needed, Require users to change their password periodically (minimum 30 days).
5. If you want users to change their password when they first sign in, select Require password change on first login.
6. Click Save.

Notes

• These settings apply only to local user accounts. They do not apply to Single Sign-On (SSO) or strong authentication methods.
• By default, all passwords must meet the following requirements:
  • Password must not contain your first or last name.
  • New password must be different from the old password.
  • The password must contain at least 8 characters.
• If you update the password requirements and a user’s current password does not meet the new requirements, the user will be prompted to change their password the next time they sign in.
• When you enable Require password change on first login:
  • The user is taken directly to the password change page after signing in.
  • After changing the password, the user must sign in again using the new password.
