Manage H5P Activities in the Environment

Go to H5P Activity Management

1. Open Administration.
2. Go to Assignments > H5P assignment.

Enable the H5P Block in the Environment

1. Find the H5P content type you want to enable.
2. Click the Enable button.

Install New H5P Content Types

1. Click the Install content types button.
2. Select a content type from the Recommended or All tab.
3. Click the Install button.
4. Make sure the new version has been installed successfully.
5. Click the Close button.

Update an H5P Content Type

1. Click the Install content types button.
2. Find content types for which a newer version is available.
3. Review both the Recommended and All tabs.
4. Click the Install button.
5. Make sure the new version has been installed successfully.
6. Click the Close button.

Disable a Content Type

1. Find the content type you want to disable.
2. Click the Disable button.

Re-enable a Content Type

1. Find the disabled content type.
2. Click the Enable button.

Create or Import H5P Content to a Course

1. Open the course content editor.
2. Add an H5P block to the page.
3. Select the content type you want to use or choose Import H5P File.
4. Add content to the selected content type or choose an H5P file from your device to import.
5. Click the Save button.

Note

The Environment Administrator determines which H5P content types are available in the environment.
By default, available content types are installed automatically when they are used for the first time.
The H5P block allows you to create new H5P content or import H5P content files created elsewhere into a course.
The All tab contains more than 50 different content types.
Disabling a content type does not affect activities that have already been created.
A disabled content type is no longer available when creating new H5P content.

Tip: If importing an H5P content package fails, first check whether a newer version of the content type is available and update it if necessary.
