- Display the field in the user’s profile to other users if a value has been set.
- Allow users to edit the field value themselves.
- The restriction options allow you to define the field’s visibility and editing permissions:

- Click the Save button.
Edit an Existing Field
As an environment administrator, you can change the value of a user profile field in two different ways.
Set a new value for both new and existing users
- Find the field you want to edit.
- Select Update the values of existing choices for users.
- Update the required field value.
- Click the Save button.
Set a new value for new users only and keep existing values for existing users
- Find the field you want to edit.
- Clear the Update the values of existing choices for users selection.
- Update the required field value.
- Click the Save button.

You cannot currently delete user profile fields yourself. If you need a user profile field removed, submit a request to the Priima Helpdesk.
Note
- User data fields are displayed when creating new users or editing existing user details.
- You can use user data fields on registration forms and in integrations that import user data into Priima.
- You can use user data fields in the following functions:
- Filter report results based on selected field values.
- Create rules for dynamic groups.
- Add course members based on a selected field value.
- Allocate course visibility for joining or enrolling based on a selected field value.
- If your Priima environment uses a user data integration, for example from an HR system or another system containing user information, the integration will typically create and update user data automatically.
