Environment Administrator
The Environment Administrator is the primary administrator of the Priima environment. Users with the Environment Administrator permission level have the broadest access rights and visibility within Priima.
Permission Level
A Permission Level is a system-wide permission setting that defines a user’s access rights throughout Priima. Each user has one permission level, which determines what they can do in the system.
Priima includes five locked permission levels with the most common default settings. The settings of these default permission levels cannot be modified. If different settings are required, you can create a new permission level and define the required permissions for users assigned to it.
Role
Roles define a user’s course-specific permissions. A user can have different roles on different courses. However, a user can only have one role at a time on a single course.
User Account Lifecycle
It is important to plan the user lifecycle in advance, including how user accounts are created in Priima, how user information is maintained and updated, and how user accounts are deactivated and removed.
Active User
A user is considered an active user when they are studying on at least one open course and have not yet completed the course.
Group
Groups can be used to target specific courses to specific users. Groups may represent learner groups, teams, or users grouped according to their job role.
Dynamic Group
An Environment Administrator can create dynamic groups by defining conditions according to which Priima automatically adds and/or removes members. Dynamic groups can also be assigned to one or more courses.
Home Pages
You can create one or more home pages in Priima and target them to specific users, such as learners or managers, or groups.
Course
A course is the basic unit of learning in Priima. A course can range from a short micro course to a comprehensive course containing multiple sections.
User Data Fields
An Environment Administrator can create up to 15 custom user profile fields. These fields can be used when creating dynamic groups, adding users to courses based on selected criteria, and filtering results in reporting functions.
H5P Assignments
H5P tools include more than 60 activity types that can be used to create interactive content and activities within a course. Learners receive immediate feedback on their responses. (More information about these activities: https://h5p.org/)
Tags
You can add tags to courses to make it easier to explore courses. When adding a tag, you can define whether it is an official tag. Tags can also be added to materials and used to search for content.
AI Features
AI features can be used to create an entirely new course or a course section from a PDF or PowerPoint file. They can also be used to create and edit content within course text blocks.
Embedded Content
Courses can include embedded content from external websites. The Environment Administrator determines which websites are allowed in the environment and is responsible for approving the sources that can be used. The owner of the external content remains responsible for the content itself.
